Handwritten letter with High School or College football anecdotes. Superior, Wisconsin vs. University of North Dakota. No author or date. Presumed early 1900s. Single sheet, folded into four pages. Roughly four by 6 inches. A handwritten letter from a person in college, mentioning their reciting in 21 of 26 ½ hours of school. The author mentions that their "Sity" (Varsity?) team beat the University of North Dakota 12-0, and in the week previous to the letter written, tied them 0-0. The author gives a brief play-by-play and states they played the hardest game of their lives, recalling a tackle made on them that "an astronomer would five years of his life to have had such a view of the heavens as I had." The author inquires after several young women, mentions partying after a game in Ashland, etc. Letter ends without a signature or name, and may perhaps be incomplete. GOOD condition. Various fold creases present. Paper toned, with some soiling and staining.
