Jet was noted for its documentation of the Civil Rights movement and the murder of Emmett Till. This issue with news the 1000 mile northern walk of James Meredith, an activist who was almost killed in a March Against Fear in 1966; a lengthy piece contrasting the billions spent by NASA to get to the moon while African-Americans received very little support in comparison; a profile of Thomas Todd; an account of a Black man murdered by white men after his car broke down in their neighborhood in Chicago, etc. GOOD condition. Mailing label on the front cover. General toning, minor soiling, scuffing creasing and wrinkling. Heavy scuffing, creasing and curling along the extremities.
