Side folding tabloid format. 56 pp. A later issue of this pioneering underground newspaper, known as the Freep. Established in 1964, the paper was known for its coverage of the counterculture movement and radical politics, as well as its strong anti-Vietnam War stance. Financial and staffing troubles led to its eventual demise in 1978. This issue with a lengthy piece/interview with Paul Mayer and radical Christianity and the American peace movement; a full page ad for a Small Faces concert; a full page on gay liberation by Lee Heflin "Don't fuck with me because I'm gay;" a piece by Kathryn Paulsen on magic powers of elements and herbs; a full page ad for a Santana show, etc. GOOD condition. Minor general browning. Paper slightly brittle. Minor wrinkling along the extremities. Horizontal fold crease present. Address label present.
