Side folding small tabloid newspaper format. 12 pp. Printed on thin tissue paper style stock. Black and white photos throughout. Front cover with a photo of civil rights leader and politician John Lewis being clubbed by Alabama state troopers. The image is very grainy and poorly reproduced, making it hard to discern Mr. Lewis. Single issue of this long running pacificist paper, containing a front page discussion of the civil rights movement in the US as epitomized by events in Selma, Alabama, where the US government countered nonviolent protests with violence. With pieces looking at automation and its effects on society, a campaign against Pakistanis in Britain, anti-Vietnam War protests, US news, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold crease present. Wrinkling and creasing along the extremities. Minor toning and soiling.
