Side folding tabloid newspaper format. 12 pp., including covers. Illustrations throughout. In Arcane Logos appears to have come about after dissension and mistreatment of staff of the Word. While somewhat restrained in tone, the paper published pieces on black liberation, women's liberation/feminism and articles reprinted from other underground papers. This issue with a piece on the split between the SDS and the Progressive Labor Party, asserting that the PL did not support the Black Power movement. With quotes from some members of the Black Panther Pary. Also included is a piece by Mel Lyman, who originally gained fame as a folk musician, but was also known for his leadership of the Fort Hill Commune (or cult, depending on perspective). Centerfold spread of photos from a weekly Love In held in New Orleans. Rear cover a piece by Phil Schmidt reflecting on the shallowness of American lives in light of July 4th. GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy toning to the paper, with minor chipping and tearing along the extremities. Horizontal fold crease present. Mailing address/postage stamp at the top of the front page.
