A history of the Biggar region of Scotland, ranging from a study of early occupation, castles, churches, schools, witches of the Biggar district, vagrants, crime, the Battle of Biggar, historical sketches of the Fleming family, etc. Small James Inglis, Bookbinder ticket on the inside front cover. GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing and moderate fading to the cloth. Minor soiling. Heavy bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Cloth split along the entire length of the rear hinge, with both interior hinges cracked and beginning to separate. Owner's inscription present. Text block slightly shaken but holding. Scattered foxing in the interior. Some toning.
