Orange wraps. 49 pp., plus many pages of ads for books and novelty items (illustrated) in the rear. A few illustrations throughout the text. A guide to various causes of bashfulness and their remedies, seemingly designed for a young man, especially those of a courting age. This includes a look at proper fashion and attire, proper hair care (no long hair like those country folk), education etc. Perhaps of note in the advertisements are a few books of magic tricks for sale, as well as magic trick apparatuses and novelties, with some illustrations. Also present is an illustration and ad for the American telegraph instrument. GOOD condition. Heavy dampstaining along the extremities and margins throughout, sometimes slightly affecting the text. Minor soiling, fading and staining to the covers. Some wrinkling and creasing, with splitting along the spine tips. Owner's signature and inscription present on the title page.
