A bound volume of this magazine aimed toward the burgeoning middle-class woman market in the UK, with a mix of gossip, history, poetry and literature. This issue with pieces on the telegraph, the Mulatto painter (reminisce from Velasquez's studio), pages of patterns and illustrations for lacework, sewing and other handmade garments and accessories, poetry, etc. GOOD condition. Front cover and spine separated from the text block, but intact to themselves and rear cover. Heavy scuffing along the hinges and extremities. Uneven fading. Minor soiling and discoloration to the covers. Minor toning to the text block.
