Established in 1964, the paper was known for its coverage of the counterculture movement and radical politics, as well as its strong anti-Vietnam War stance. Financial and staffing troubles led to its eventual demise in 1978. This issue with news on the Pentagon Papers suspect Anthony Russo and his experiences in jail; an underground buyer's guide to not supporting major corporations; a small illustrated ad to a Black Sabbath concert at the Long Beach Arena on September 25, 1971 etc. GOOD condition. Moderate general browning. Paper slightly brittle. Minor wrinkling along the extremities, with a few small chips and tears. Horizontal fold crease present.
