Handwritten letter from Potter Valley, care of Fraser's Mill, 1912

No Place: No Publisher, 1912. Unbound. Good. Item #014174
ISBN: noisbn

Single lined sheet, 8 ¾ by 5 ½ inches. A short letter from "Lex" to his(?) mother, briefly discussing how hard it is to make a trip to the mill to send mail, requiring an all day trip of 36 miles, while following deer tracks through big timber at night to return to his camp. He talks a little of hunting, as well as mentioning that whenever someone meets someone else they talk about the same old bull, like hunting. The name Potter Valley perhaps indicates a California origin for the letter, although there was also a settlement in Western Canada called Fraser's Mill. No clear indication as to where this originated. GOOD condition. Two horizontal fold creases present. Minor toning, soiling and fading to the letter.

Price: $15.00
