A history of the origins of modern illustrated books that incorporate the work of fine artists, looking at 19th century examples of work illustrated by Manet and others. GOOD condition. Some faint offsetting to the covers, with uneven moderate browning and fading. Small dark red spot of staining near the center front cover spine. Minor soiling.
