no date, presumed early 1900s. Color illustrated wraps. 179 pp., plus ads. A few black and white illustrations throughout. A presumably embellished account of the exploits of the Dalton Gang and their string of bank and train robberies, as well as murders. This includes some accounts by Ransom Payne, although the veracity of these accounts cannot be ascertained. The Dalton Gang, comprised of brothers and a few others, operated in Oklahoma and Indian Territory in the 1890s, with all but one of the brothers dying in a shootout. POOR condition. Rear cover with a large portion torn off and MISSING from the lower half, with some tearing and loss to the last few pages of ads in that section. Covers and binding held together with old tape repairs, with most of the cover chipped and MISSING along the spine. Heavy browning, with some soiling and staining. Extremities bumped, chipped and worn.
