Two color reproductions of paintings, along with two black and white reproductions and a black and white photo of the artist. A small catalog to a 1967 exhibition of stone paintings by Lee Gatch. With a short essay on his work by noted author James Michener. Lee Gatch was an American artist, working in abstract forms and concepts to create landscapes and other work, sometimes reminiscent of the work of Milton Avery. Somewhat overlooked in his lifetime, his work is held in the Guggenheim, the Whitney Museum of American Art and other museums. GOOD+ condition. Minor browning, mostly along the extremities. Light soiling and edgewear.
