Name of the illustrator Arthur Syzk handwritten in pencil on the rear cover, although it does not match examples of his signature found online. A short catalog to a 1948 exhibition of paintings by Ben-Zion, accompanied by critical and explanatory commentary. Ben-Zion (Benzion Weinman) was a Ukrainian born artist who emigrated to the United States in 1920, becoming a member of an avant-garde group of artists The Ten, that included the artist Mark Rothko, among others. GOOD condition. Heavy browning along the bottom edge. Minor soiling and wrinkling.
