Stated second edition. Beige cloth. Pocket sized, flip notebook style bound. 79 plus pages, plus a section for combat messages (with a few sheets apparently used and removed). A small reference book for soldiers for use in World War I, containing mathematical references, sections on target practice, combat principles, reconnaissance reports, flag signaling, first aid, cooking, etc. This work also includes a few pages for the entries of soldiers' personal information. Handwritten in this is the name of William Wood Cunningham, from Peabody, Kansas. He had a rank of corporal, had an Elgin pocket watch, with rifle and bayonet number included. Also listed are the number of days actually and not actually present for duty with troops, spanning the years 1916-1918. GOOD condition. Area of whitish staining and discoloration to the rear cover. Minor soiling, spotting and staining to the covers. Light edgewear. Paper toned in the interior.
