No Place: No Publisher. Cloth. Good. Item #013016
No publisher, place or date. Presumed 1939. Brown cloth covers. 18 by 18 inches. A collection of 93 wallpaper samples all labeled Kan-Wash on the rear, although no other company name is present. NOTE: while approximately 93 samples are present, only about 50 are blank, with the rest having become a scrapbook for pin-up girl art, presumably taken from circa 1939 Esquire magazines (and perhaps others). This art consists of risqué and scantily clad women, most, if not all by artist George Petty. Book apparently supplied by the Economy Wall Paper Company of Boston, Massachusetts. Many wallpaper samples bear floral or other designs, as well as a variety of colors. FAIR condition. A FEW PAGES appear to be MISSING. Some soiling, general fading, scuffing and bumping present to the covers. Cloth scuffed and worn along the extremities. Some toning to the samples ,with the first few smaller in dimensions than the rest. Some chipping, minor tearing along the paper extremities of some samples, with a few samples suffering extensive loss along the fore edge. Some samples bear paper residue or adhesive stains.
