Nevius, who served as a missionary for ten years in China, and was noted for his pioneering work as a missionary, including adopting different methods of conducting the work. GOOD condition. Heavy fading to the spine and extremities, with otherwise general fading. Minor soiling. Some staining and spotting to the spine. Cloth scuffed along the extremities, with some bumping. Text block toned. Minor scattered foxing, including to the map, which is rather wrinkled along its edges.
