Bound volume of this magazine, featuring parts of "Our Mutual Friend," by Charles Dickens; parts of "Armandale," by Wilkie Collins; description of battles during the Civil War including the siege at Vicksburg, the Roanoke Expedition Sheridan's Battle of Winchester and Middleton, military adventures beyond the Mississippi, etc. Also present is a look at the petroleum region of America and other topics. GOOD condition. Cloth peeled and worn along the front center hinge, with a narrow 2 inch strip missing. Minor stains and some soiling to the covers. Leather scuffed and worn along the extremities. Moderate foxing to the endpapers. Scattered foxing in the interior, with general toning.
