This includes mention of important artists such as Cezanne, as well as the principles and concepts behind the various movements. Lewisohn also discusses Surrealism, being somewhat dismissive and derisive in his comments. He cites Edward Hopper, Max Weber, Walt Kuhn as important American artists, as well as the young Stuart Davis, among others. GOOD condition. Minor foxing, staining and soiling to the covers.
