This includes ancient gods and other figures from mythology, philosophers, kings, princes, generals, historians, painters, physicians, celebrated ladies, artificers, etc. Drawn from Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Carthaginian and other civilizations. Small bookplate from Amos Tuck French in the inside front cover. GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing along the hinges and extremities. Some toning and minor staining to the covers. Splitting present along the lower hinges, with minor chipping at the tail. Front endpaper(s) apparently MISSING. Scattered foxing throughout. ESTC N20241.
