no date, circa 1946 based on OCLC records. Illustrated wraps. Large folio, 17 by 13 inches. 13 leaves, printed on single sides only. This includes the 12 color reproductions of woodblock prints, preceded by a one page introduction by W.G. Russell Allen. Most of these were made in 1894, after Gauguin's return from his first trip to Tahiti. FAIR condition. Wrappers essentially separated into two pieces, tenuously holding on at the upper hinge, with all pages either SEPARATED from each other or very tenuously attached. Heavy tearing and creasing along the hinge and fore edge, with some missing chips, including one about 2 by ½ inches. Wrappers toned, with a few minor stains and light soiling. Minor soiling and toning to the plates.
