Thomson was a Canadian painter of the early 20th century, considered one of the first Modernists in Canada, and known for his expressive use of paint, brushstrokes and color. His career was cut short due to drowning in 1917. VERY GOOD condition. Minor scuffing and a few superficial scrapes to the jacket on the front cover. Minor edgewear. Light fading to the book.
