Stated Preliminary March 1952 Reprint. A large fold out brochure measuring approximately 48 by 9 inches when unfolded. Consisting of several pages, stapled at the middle, this presents a detailed floor plan of first class cabins and amenities on the cruise ship S.S. United States. With short advertising copy and information about the 'state of the art' aspects of the ship. The S.S. United States was a passenger cruise ship designed to US Navy specifications, and subsidized by the US government, as it was to be used as a troop transport ship in wartime should the need arise. It achieved speed records in crossing the Atlantic and was in service from July 1952 to 1969. GOOD condition. Some staining, spotting and soiling to the piece, with minor creasing, wrinkling and edgewear. Staples rusted.
