A single issue of this magazine, featuring the poem 'Santa Claus,' by James Whitcomb Riley; an article on a seance by Camille Flammarion, ' A seance with Eusapia Paladino (Palladino): psychic forces;' an article considering priests and their power in relation to people by for president of the Theosophical Societies of America, Europe, and Australasia-E.T. Hargrove; and a piece against the American annexation of Hawaii, among other topics. Eusapia Palladino was an Italian Spiritualist and medium, whose work was often debunked as fraud by scientists and others in England, France and elsewhere, although Flammarion believed some of her abilities were real. GOOD condition. Moderate browning to the wraps. Minor soiling. Two faint red pencil checks on the front cover. Some creasing and minor chipping along the extremities. Several pages unopened in the interior, including at the seance article.
