1908/1909. Brown illustrated wraps. With color reproductions of fine binding as frontispieces in each, as well as photos (black and white) of fine bindings and other books, throughout. An incomplete set of auction catalogs featuring the books of Henry W. Poor. This includes masterpieces of printing, illuminated manuscripts, rare and artistic bookbindings, Americana, literature from various periods, including work from Charles Dickens, etc. Henry W. Poor was a banker in the mid to late 19th and earlty 20th century, with the firm he established with his father becoming Standard and Poor's. He liquidated his business in 1908 due to financial losses. POOR to GOOD condition. General toning and minor soiling to the wraps, with faint spotting and staining to the covers of part III. Extremities on all chipped, creased and torn. Frontispiece detached in Part III. Front wrapper detached along the backstrip,, but still intact, with the extremities rather tattered. Front wrapper of Part V DETACHED and very chipped/torn.
