Black and white photos, floor plans and illustrations throughout. A single issue of this journal devoted to architecture and construction. This month features discussion on the new discoveries of the properties of marble, fireproof construction, a paper on foundations and walls, architectural renditions of front, side elevations and floor plans the J.B. Jennings residence, photos of the residence of Wm. H. Schoen, and a detailed description of the Pennsylvania Limited Railway train, recounting features and amenities (with illustrations). FAIR condition. Both wrappers detached, with heavy chipping, tearing, creasing and loss. Rear wrapper torn in two vertically. Journal with a vertical fold crease, Minor creasing and small tears along the extremities. Very minor scattered soiling and staining. A few notes/corrections in the text.
