Light brown paper covered boards with leather spine and corners. *-***4, ****2, 1-971, gggggg2-4, hhhhhh-pppppp 4, qqqqqq2. With five engravings. Text primarily in Latin, with a few passages in Hebrew and Greek. Primarily a religious, historical and theological discussion/commentary on the Hebrew Epistles, with a vocabulary. Accompanied by five illustrations that depict sacrificial knives, a lamb being sacrificed, a fold out map of upper Egypt, the Sinai peninsula and lower Israel, a man being burned on a stake, and another being beaten. GOOD condition, ex-library, from a theological institution. Spine label, bookplate and a few minor interior markings present. Covers darkened and soiled, with some spotting and staining. Leather missing from the head of the spine, with heavy scuffing and some splitting along the hinges. Lengthy notes in pencil to a blank front endpaper. Minor scattered underlining in ink to a few pages.
