The first, bearing a photo of Lewis Bertrand, solicits a write in vote for Bertrand as a candidate for president in the 1960 election, running on the platform of settling with Russia. Bertrand provides a brief synopsis of his belief in conciliatory talks with Russia to avoid a conventional war or protracted Cold War. The second piece outlines the concept and platform of a 'Mankinds Assembly,' outlining goals for peace through the establishment of a permanent peace congress, independent, but concomitant with the United Nations.
