Folio. 26 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout, including those of several houses, some floor plans, and illustrations of tools and other items useful in the carpentry and building trade. Articles include: plans for a workingman's cottage, ancient Roman safe deposits, building of hand railings, cracked ceilings, brick work, general principles of construction, landscape gardening, a plan for a 7 room house, recent patents, trade reviews, etc. GOOD condition. Heavy vertical crease to the center of the magazine. General fading, minor soiling and staining to the covers. Light creasing and curling present. Some scuffing, chipping and tearing along the extremities. Paper toned in the interior. Several small illustrations colored in by hand (presumably by a former owner), with one large illustration completely colored in and bearing some notes in colored pencil. Another large illustration partially colored in.
