A catalog to a 1914 exhibition of the work of Jean Honore Fragonard, providing descriptions of each of the paintings or drawings included, as well as critical commentary on each. With a short biographical and critical introduction to his work. Jean Honore Fragonard was an 18th century French artist known for his slightly erotic paintings executed in a Rococo style. Tissue wrapper in POOR condition; book in GOOD condition. Heavy browning, tearing, tattering and loss to the tissue, with some creasing, foxing and soiling. Minor to moderate browning, light soiling and edgewear to the book. Offsetting to the endpapers. Paper rather browned in the interior. Two ownership signatures present. Tissue guard at the plate DETACHED but present.
