Blue printed wraps. 15 pp. A short but detailed account of the Battle of Stone's River in late December of 1862. This includes estimated troop numbers, names of various generals and other officers, as well as details of the battle itself. Also known as the Second Battle of Murfreesboro, the Battle of Stone's River was fought in Tennessee at the end of December/beginning of January in 1862/63, with high casualties on both side and an inconclusive result. John G. Parkhurst recalls his firsthand experiences in this event. FAIR/GOOD condition. Both wrappers DETACHED but present, with heavy chipping, tearing and loss along the extremities, as well as moderate browning. Minor toning to the text block, mostly along the extremities.
