Half leather with brown pebbled cloth. 780 pp. Lacking any original wraps that may have been issued. A bound volume of this noted literary magazine featuring poetry, stories and essays. This includes 'Chimney Corner for 1866,' by Harriet Beecher Stowe; 'English Opinion on the American War,' by W.M. Rosetti; 'A Landscape Painter,' by Henry James and other work. GOOD condition, slightly ex-library, with a circular embossment on the title page and ink numbers on the copyright page. No other treatments found. General fading and minor soiling to the covers. Heavy scuffs, superficial chips to the leather at the near the head of the spine and along the upper hinges. Leather rather scuffed along the raised bands. Previous owner's initials and last named embossed in gilt at the foot of the spine. Interior solid, with uneven toning to the paper. Scattered foxing throughout, ranging from minor to heavy, especially to the endpapers.
