Beige cloth. No jacket. Housed in a pictorial paper covered board slipcase. Folio. 191 pp. Color and black and white illustrations throughout. A detailed catalog of paintings from China from the Sung and Yuan dynasties. This includes histories, critical examinations and analyses of landscape paintings of the Five Dynasties (907-60) and the Northern Sung (960-1127); figure paintings of the Sung Dynasty (960-1279); album leaves of the Southern Sung Dynasty ((1127-1279); figure paintings of the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368); landscape paintings of the early and late Yuan periods, etc. VERY GOOD book in a GOOD slipcase. Uneven fading to the cloth. Minor bumping along the extremities. Interior clean and solid. The slipcase is rather faded and scuffed, especially along the extremities. Some splitting and chipping along the edges. Upper edge with tape repairs along some longer splits affecting the top.
