Sir Charles Santley was a noted Victorian English opera singer and oratorio, performing in many operas during the mid to late 1800s, as well as performing concerts in England and America. GOOD condition. General fading and uneven darkening to the covers, with rather heavy darkening along the spine. Area of staining, light discoloration to the rear cover along the fore edge. Minor soiling. Some scuffing along the extremities. Interior solid with a few minor pencil underlines. Pages apparently opened a bit roughly, with some chips, minor loss and tearing along the fore edge. Ownership signature present.
