Pamphlet, lacking any wraps that may have been issued. 146 pp, with a few illustrations. A report detailing items in the state of New York's natural history, historical and antiquarian collection, listing and briefly describing new items added (including plants, animals, minerals, and fossils). Of note are sections detailing the history of 'The Cornplanter Tomahawk' describing in brief the life and significance of the Senaca Native American, Cornplanter, with a small illustration of the Tomahawk. Also included is a section by Franklin Hough describing ancient art in Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties, accompanied by several illustrations depicting location and the nature of the art. GOOD condition, lacking any original wraps. Minor to moderate foxing to the piece, with the first and last page rather browned. Minor soiling. Paper a bit curled and creased along the fore edge and corners. Ownership inscription on the title page.
