A somewhat informal, although detailed, history of the Isles of Shoals off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine, spanning from their discovery and use as fishing islands in colonial times to the 19th century. Note: reprint title reads 'Historic Sketch,' although historical sketch appears on the reprinted title page within. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pocket, pastedown and minor stamping in the interior. Moderate fading to the covers, with minor soiling and scuffing. Moderate scuffing along the edges and hinges. Interior solid with very minor scattered soiling.
