A linguistic study of the Guarani language of South America, one of the only languages to survive the influx of Spanish speakers, and one of the official languages of Paraguay. This work examines the Spanish influence on the Guarani, especially as seen in the language. FAIR/GOOD condition. Moderate soiling and some foxing to the wraps, with uneven darkening and browning. Some creasing along the extremities and spine. Tearing present along the upper front hinge, with minor tearing at the tail. Interior front hinge cracked and separating from the text block. Text block CRACKED in half, with the first half very tenuously attached to the covers. Text block with scattered soiling and foxing. Several pages unopened.
