Red morocco leather with marbled boards and endpapers. ALL TEXT IN FRENCH. 418, 513, 480 pp. With a few fold out maps and a fold out frontis document facsimile (in volume 3). All present as called for. A detailed look at the politics and political upheaval in late 18th century France that led to the rise of Napoleon, as well as a detailed look at his life and early military career, including his many campaigns. This includes a look at the French military, Napoleon in Corsica, the siege of Toulon, Napoleon's maritime expedition, Napoleon in Itay and Egypt, his time in Paris, etc. GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing to the leather along the spines, hinges and corners, with several small areas of superficial loss and some splitting/loss at the corners. General fading to the covers. Minor scuffing to the boards. Interiors clean and solid with moderate browning to the paper. The fold out maps all bear minor tearing, with one being TORN in half. Some misfolding/minor creasing to the fold outs.
