A detailed examination of Napoleon Bonaparte and his relationship with and interest in the United States, drawing from his writings, and explaining his plans for an empire in North America as well as how the United States influenced his wars and relations with European powers. The work also studies Napoleon's views on slavery and his consideration of polygamy as an answer to it. GOOD+ condition. Minor fading, scuffing and soiling.
