These digs, conducted due to proposed expansion of U.S. Route 67, explore the lives of lower class laborers-often underdocumented in historical records. This report includes a history of Alton and Little Piasa Valley, as well as occupation and job access and social relations. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pocket, pastedown, spine label and minor stamping present. Tape present at the head of the spine. Minor soiling, darkening and rubbing to the covers, with some offsetting along the upper rear extremity. Interior clean and solid.
