Four page newspaper. Featuring many small advertisements for railroads and passenger rail service between cities in the northeast. These are accompanied by small illustrations of a locomotive or train car.With a few articles on various subjects, including politics, as well as mention of a "preposterous" claim that "a plot is now on foot to deprive Houston of the command of the army of Texas, and place General James Hamilton of South Carolina at its head." In GOOD condition with moderate to heavy browning along the side fold, as well as general toning and minor foxing to the paper. Fore edge extremities rather chipped and tattered. Minor soiling. Vertical and horizontal fold creases present.
