Light green cloth. No jacket. Signed by both authors on the first endpaper. 297 pp. Black and white photo plates throughout. A two part work, part I titled "Seven Months in Veldt," and part II titled "Safari in the Rain." Both detail the authors' adventures traveling in Africa, with Ira Morse recalling big game hunting and Julia Morse describing an African safari. Ira B. Morse was the owner of a small chain of shoe stores in New England, and created a Morse Museum in his hometown of Warren, New Hampshire. He was known for his collection of shoes assembled during travels around the world. GOOD condition. Heavy uneven fading to the covers, with minor to moderate foxing. Minor soiling. Minor bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Light scattered foxing in the interior. One plate tipped in in the interior with old tape repairs. Owner's signature present.
