The Rivalries of Long and Short Codiac

By: Edwards, George Wharton

Price: $50.00

Quantity: 1 available

Believed first edition. 156 pages. Roughly 3 by 4 inches tall. Bound in brown leather with extensive tooled illustrations of two boats on the water, with a lighthouse in the background, on the front cover, as well as decorative images of the water and two fish that almost form the yin/yang symbol. All page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. There is no indication of the designer of the binding, although it seems possible Edwards himself did this, as he is known to have designed others, as well as being a noted illustrator and artist. In about VERY GOOD condition. Moderate scuffing to the binding extremities, with heavy darkening to the spine. Some uneven fading/darkening to the covers. Minor soiling. Moderate foxing to the endpapers with very minor scattered foxing throughout. Text block tight although cracked at the copyright page. Nice tooled decorative binding.
