First edition. In original wraps. The same work issued in a 478 page book, this was an edition apparently printed in four parts, this being section three. Neither Howes nor Bradford gives mention of this particular issue of this work [Howes W324, Bradford 5776]. Pages numbered as follows:1-16, xi-xxxvvii, 215-319. This work covers the colonial period in the preface and then histories of the Lincoln, Macon and Martin, Mecklenburg, and Moore and New Hanover counties in North Carolina. In POOR condition. Original wraps are DETACHED, with over half of the front cover MISSING, and heavy tattering, chipping and tearing to the rear wrap but with no loss loss of text. Heavy darkening to the front cover with some bibliographic notations in pencil to it. The book is saddle stitched and solid with some minor soiling and darkening to the title page, as well as a small stain near the upper edge. Some minor darkening and soiling to the last blank page. Interior solid with some wrinkling to a few pages near their upper edges. Many pages unopened.
