The Small Room. A Novel

By: Sarton, May

Price: $100.00

Quantity: 1 available

Stated first edition. First printing with a 1 in the number line. Hard cover in unclipped jacket. SIGNED by May Sarton, with a brief dedication. Also laid in is a one page poem, typed, titled A Flower-arranging Summer, that also bears the author's signature and brief dedication. The book is dedicated to Izette and Fred, Izette being Izette de Forest, a psychoanalyst-with the inscription reading "To Izett [sic] and Fred who helped this book and me through a hard time. Gratefully, May Sarton." GOOD jacket on a VERY GOOD book. Moderate browning to the jacket spine. Some foxing along the rear jacket fore edge. General fading to the jacket. Minor soiling and scuffing. Head and foot of the jacket spine scuffed and rubbed with two parallel ½ inch tears at the base of the spine resulting in a small piece of the jacket being rather wrinkled. Minor fading and edgewear to the book. Interior clean and solid. Interesting association copy, signed by May Sarton.
