Berlin: 1800/1801. Paper covered boards with black cloth tape binding. 248, 276 pages. With a color frontispiece illustration preceding each book, as well as three color illustrations in the rear, fold out, although only occupying one section of the tri-fold. Written anonymously, these two works were part of a larger series Flittner wrote on various aspects of sex and sexuality. In particular these discuss sexual relations between men and women as well as love and loyalty. In GOOD+ condition. Moderate to heavy scuffing to the covers and extremities, with some bumping to the corners. Minor soiling and general fading. Binding weak but intact, with scattered minor soiling throughout, mostly in the gutters. General toning to the paper with minor scattered foxing. Small oval ownership stamps to the half title and title page.

Bookplate present on inner front cover from a Sunday school. Minor soiling to the pages with sporadic minor to moderate foxing. Binding is loose and just cracking, but still intact. Slight smoke odor to the book when opened. Still a very readable book in GOOD condition.

A history of Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartres that provides insight into the Middle Ages in France. VERY GOOD book. Slipcase in in fair condition. General fading. A few tiny stains to the lower rear cover. Slipcase split along two of the seams, now opening in a clamshell type fashion. Slipcase browned. Paper rather chipped and worn on the extremities. Some scuffing.

An autobiographical account of the Aldrin's life after returning from his moon landing, detailing the pressures both from NASA and deriving from his fame as a lunar astronaut, all of which led to emotional and mental struggles. VERY GOOD jacket on a GOOD book. Perhaps a remainder, with an H stamped on the first endpaper. Minor wrinkling, fading and edgewear to the jacket. Heavy fading to the book extremities, with minor edgewear. Light foxing to the page edges.

Interior lacking any endpapers that may have been present. Previous owner's notes/writing on the inside front cover, title page and in the margins of a few pages of text. Some notes indicate the owner may have been traveling the island, providing very brief commentary on the weather, if this was the case. Child's doodling/drawing to the inside front cover and last page of text. Lines in pencil drawn on page fore edges. Interior solid with minor scattered soiling and foxing. Faint dampstain in the lower margin of the first 40 pages.

Organ builders include William Goodrich, Thomas Johnston and others. The second part of the work provides short biographies of various organists at the church, including Stephen Deblois, William Price, John Cutler and others. VERY GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing to the cloth along the extremities. All plates and pages LOOSE and separated from each other. Heavy chipping, browning and loss to the card stock pages, with all paper being rather brittle and flaking easily with handling. Color plates still bright and clean. A rough copy of this work in poor condition.

Signed/inscribed by the author at the top of the front cover. 83 pp. An argument for a system of canals and waterways on the St. Lawrence River that would allow ships to pass from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic and vice versa. Baldwin discusses economic and military benefits and drawbacks, and while concluding that the canal may be a threat to the security of the United States, in general, it would be of greater benefit. Canals on the St. Lawrence had been proposed since the late 1800s, with various treaties between the United Stated and Canada failing, often due to US reticence. Agreements were finally reached in the 1950s, when the project was started (and completed). GOOD condition. Some toning, foxing, soiling and minor staining to the wraps. Minor creasing and curling along the edges. Upper corner a bit curled.
