Circa 1932. Original wraps. 88 pages. With black and white photos throughout. A book of knitting and crochet patterns for robes, gloves, sweaters, cardigans, vests and other items of clothing for men and boys. GOOD+ condition. Minor soiling and general uneven fading to the covers. Lower corner creased and wrinkled. Minor wrinkling to the page corners on the interior. Previous owner's name in ink at the top front cover.

Brownish printed wraps. 62 pp. Illustrations throughout. A collection of crochet patterns for doilies and table mats, children's clothing, ladies' wear-including shawls and capes-and various lace edgings. With an introduction illustrating and describing various crochet stitches. GOOD condition. Moderate creasing to the covers, with some soiling, minor fading and staining. Corners rather creased and curled, with minor tearing and chipping along the extremities. Old price in pen at the upper corner. Interior solid, with a dampstain along the upper fore edge. A few dog ear creases present.

circa early 1900's. Light green cloth with orange bands along the edges. 174 pages plus ads. With black and white illustrations throughout, including a few plates in color. A collection of instructions and patterns for knitting, crochet, embroidery, tatting, macramé and other types of needlework. Knitting patterns include lace shawls, a smart jumper, lady's camisole, baby's overalls, dress for a small girl, a lady's evening vest and others. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pocket and pastedown present. Minor scuffing, fading and edgewear, with very light soiling. Interior clean and solid with minor toning to the paper.

Pamphlet, LACKING the original wraps that were issued. 96 pp., including ads in the rear. Black and white illustrations throughout. A promotional guide providing extensive instruction on how to crochet, with illustrations, as well as patterns for lace work, scarf, toilet cover, etc. Issued by the Nonotuck Silk Company, presumably to promote the use of their silk thread or yarn. FAIR condition. MISSING original wraps. Spine reinforced with somewhat browned clear tape. Heavy toning to the paper. Minor bumping along the extremities.

1867-1868. Folio. Black cloth with leather spine and corners. 392. 20 pp. All text in German. Many black and white illustrations throughout, including many of fashions for women. A magazine featuring stories and articles on fashion, household crafts, needlecraft, etc. Many illustrations of needlework items, dresses and other garments for women, etc. GOOD condition. Leather missing from the top compartment on the spine (one of six). Heavy scuffing to the leather along the hinges and corners, with some flaking and loss. General fading. Minor to moderate soiling, with minor staining and discoloration. Front marbled endpaper missing. Pages 123-126 very loosely bound in. General toning to the paper.

A single issue of this magazine, featuring, literature and poetry, as well as a section of instructions for various needlework and sewing items. This includes a butterfly mat, a crochet mat, little girl's knickerbockers, etc. FAIR condition. Front wrapper tenuously attached, with heavy chipping, creasing and tearing along the extremities, with extensive loss along the fore edge. Minor general toning. A few small stains in the interior.
