Keiley, Gertrude Kasebier, Frank Eugene and others. A detailed look at the medium of photography and the use of it in producing fine art, using specific photographers and their photos as points of departure to elaborate on composition, technique and other aspects of photography. Each chapter focuses primarily on one photographer, including the above mentioned Stieglitz, Kasebier, Steichen and Eugene. GOOD condition. Several small stains along the front fore edge, with a few small stains to the rear cover. Uneven fading and darkening, with some offsetting, to the covers. Minor soiling. Some scuffing along the extremities. Faint dampstain present along the fore edge margin of the pages throughout, a bit heavier to the first and last few pages. Pages 66-68 130-131 162-163 STUCK together along the fore edges.

Bookplate from an art museum library in the interior, with no other treatments present. Owner's signature present. A few passages and sentences circled/underlined in the chronology section at the rear.
