Boston Little, Brown and Company 1929 no Hard Cover Fair No Jacket Mahlon Blaine 
Hard cover. No jacket. Stated second printing. With illustrations by Mahlon Blaine. 334 pages. Color frontis and black and white illustrations throughout. An adventure novel based on Calvin's experiences sailing in the northern Pacific coast. FAIR condition. Unfortunately there are 19 INSECT holes along the fore and bottom page edges, several working their way about a ˝ inch into the page margins. Otherwise in very good condition with a few spots of soiling to the front cover as well as minor fading, more moderate to the spine. Light rubbing to the extremities with some scuffing along the hinges. Interior clean and solid, with the aforementioned holes affecting the margins of many pages.

The Marcel Rodd Company 1946 Hard Cover Very Good Good 
Believed first edition. In an unclipped dust jacket. GOOD dust jacket on a VERY GOOD book. Very minor soiling to the jacket. Some minor chips and tears to the jacket extremities, mostly along the top. Minor scuffing and rubbing to the jacket extremities. A 2 ˝ inch piece of the dust jacket has peeled away near the lower front spine, exposing the white paper beneath. The book has very minor soiling to its blue boards. The paper within is browning somewhat. Previous owner’s small address label present on inside front cover. This book discusses the odds of things happening in one’s life, from love to work, etc. The cover blurb reads, “With an introduction by a promising young actor and author…BOB HOPE.” Nice piece of Bob Hope epherma in GOOD/VERY GOOD condition. Hard to find.

Original boards with leather binding. Perhaps a first trade edition. No other dates given in the book. 165 pages plus ads in the rear for other works by Hauptmann. A short novel by this Nobel Prize winner. In GOOD condition. Uneven fading and darkening to the book. Minor soiling. Some scuffing and bumping along the extremities. Some scuffing and chipping to the leather backstrip with a one inch split to the lower hinge and minor loss to the upper joint. Interior solid with moderate browning to the text. Previous owner's signature, a Nellie Levi Strauss, on the first endpaper.

Bobbs-Merrill 1918 First Edition Hard Cover Fair No Jacket 
First edition, second issue, with the poem to R.W.L. at the front. Lacking dust jacket. In FAIR condition. Paste on paper cover illustration of a caricature of a man hitting a baseball with a German soldier for a face. Moderate soiling to pastedown. Overall general wear to covers, including soiling, rubbing, scuffing. The hunter green boards have been scuffed to a pale green in many spots, especially to the back. Corners bumped and rubbed. Spine fading and pulled at top and bottom. Front cover beginning to separate from text block at the title page, making the binding loose. Text block intact. Previous owner’s name at ffep. Pages clean, with a few bearing creases from dog ears. FAIR condition on a book with overall general wear.
