Printed wraps. 38 pp. An address that provides a short history of the city of Concord, New Hampshire, from its first settlement, early colonial history and its growth through the 1800s. With an index of names in the rear. GOOD condition. Apparent ex-library, with evidence of a removed pocket present in the inside rear cover and erased call numbers at the top front cover. No other treatments visible. General uneven fading and toning to the wraps, with some creasing, mostly at the corners. Minor soiling. A few small tears along the rear extremities. Interior clean and solid with very minor foxing. Small dampstain affecting the upper margin of two pages.

Owner's bookplate and signature present. Interior hinges reinforced with cloth tape. Text block shaken and weak, with several pages and gatherings detached and laid in. Scattered soiling and staining in the interior, with some foxing. Reference copy only.

No place: 1898, 1956. Green cloth. Volume 2 signed by the author, Burtram J. Pratt. 561, 338 pp. Illustrations in both, with fold out maps in volume 1. Volume 2 MISSING whatever was in the rear pocket. A two volume history of Cohasset, Massachusetts, published separately. The first was published in 1898 and the second in 1956, where the history of Cohasset was continued into the 20th century. With sections on Native Americans, the first settlers and settlements, the fishing industry, notable wrecks off the coast, stagecoaches and railways, etc. GOOD condition. Dampstaining evident along the bottom edge and spines of both volumes, mostly affecting the exterior, but with some traces on the lower page edges. General fading, some scuffing and minor soiling. Extremities scuffed. Spine cloth mottled on volume one. Some areas of staining to the exterior of volume 2. Front hinge cracked but holding at the front of volume 1, with moderate browning to the paper. Binding of volume 2 cocked, with dark soiling/staining along the bottom page edges.

A 1 inch long streak appears at the bottom front edge and along most of the lower back edge, especially to the head of the spine. Minor fading. Spine sunned. Minor scuffing to the extremities of the book. Text clean and solid.

Heavy bumping and scuffing to the extremities, with some loss of the cloth at the corners. Cloth fraying and coming off along the rear fore edge and front hinge. Front cover cracked and separating at the front hinge. Rear cover cracked at the hinge but still intact. Text block cracked at page 154/55. Text otherwise solid with minor scattered soiling and general darkening to the pages. Reading/reference copy in POOR condition.
